Saturday, Jayme and Josh gave each other their vows at Guardian Angels Church and celebrated with family and friends at Woodhaven CC in Louisville, KY. These two have a great sense of humor and know how to have fun! I hope you enjoy these shots from their day!

Hello There! I realized I focused a bit too much on posting wedding previews on Facebook and forgot all about the blog! I’ll be getting weddings from this year up in the next week or so but I wanted to share something different I’ve been doing at receptions over the past year. Ever since my parents bought a VHS camcorder that  in the 80’s that had an intriguing “time-lapse” button, I’ve been shooting time-lapse photography in some fashion. Mind you, it has always been a hobby from GI Joe stop motion battles to sunsets and festivals. They don’t always work but that was something I did for fun. I started doing these at wedding receptions a year or so ago with different point and shoot cameras I could set up in a corner and let click away. I purchased my first GoPro camera late last year and have found it offers the best benefits to use for time-lapse more so to me than the video functionality. I don’t tell couples I do this unless they ask what I am doing setting up and don’t offer it as a service; just a little bonus if there is enough light. All you have to know about Maggie and Danny are that they are beautiful inside and out. Their love for one another is incredible and inspiring! I have known the two of them for a little over a year and I’ve learned a bit about them from random nights out and it’s always a pleasure to be around them. From these photos you can likely tell their families and friends feel exactly the same.

Yesterday at the Marcus Lindsey and Concordia Lutheran Church Patrick and Rachel tied the knot and started a new journey together! They are a super laid back, lovable couple surrounded by great family and friends!
Yesterday I spent the day with Amanda and Steve to document their wedding at the Sawyer Hayes Center in east Louisville. The day started off rainy and overcast but quickly turned that rain into the sunny, humid summer days we all know and sometimes love. It never fails, just when I think I’ve gotten to know a couple via meetings and an engagement session… they surprise me; I’m not incredibly knowledgeable about the Dr. Who universe but I am always excited with someone brings their love of sci-fi into the real world of a wedding! On top of that, I am a huge My Morning Jacket fan (if you didn’t already know) so when I hear their songs requested by the bride, It’s hard to not just put down the camera and get out and dance! Enough of my writing now, Steve and Amanda are a couple that feed each other with love; you can’t be around them and not feel their passion to make each other happy. Yesterday Jenna and Michael got married at St. Bernadette Church and followed with a reception at Gingerwoods in beautiful Prospect, KY. The day was beautiful and stress free and the rain held off until the party was going indoors at the reception. Speaking of the reception… these folks party hard, it was a blast! I wish these two the best on their new chapter in life and many thanks to Andrew Kung and his crew working the videography and the superior organization of Weekend Wedding Warrior! This past friday Heather and Ravon tied the knot at the Frazier History Museum with family and friends there to cheer them on. It was a beautiful day for a rooftop ceremony with those awesome clouds that resemble cotton candy! We even had time afterwards to go play in the streets for some photos. Kristen and Gerry had their wonderful wedding this past Saturday at St. Agnes with a super awesome reception at Farmington plantation. What do I mean by “super awesome” you say? Guests that don’t mind the heat and keep the party going til the end and DJ that does a stellar swing dance complete with a flip! Kristen and Gerry are a great couple surrounded with good family and friends. I wish them the best and enjoy these teasers!

Wow, just wow! As time goes on in my career I can’t believe weddings keep getting better and better; each one impresses me more and more and Mandy and Craig’s didn’t fall short! Sometimes it’s really fun to step out of the city and slow down a bit. Not that Bardstown is very far from Louisville but it’s just a slower friendlier place and i take nothing away from Louisville’s southern hospitality in saying this. Back to the point… Craig and Mandy are a wonderful couple surrounded by amazing friends who really made their day special. This past Saturday, Mindy and William tied the knot joining two loving families into one. I started the day shooting William’s morning workout with several members of the wedding party and guests; just watching them and knowing of the long day they had ahead of them exhausted me! With thunderstorms looming in the forecast, the rain decided not to play a part in the day and made way for sunny skies! Yesterday Julie and Nick got married and do they know how to party! With looming rain storms all day we were dodging showers here and there but made due and created some really nice memories! Most brides would freak out if rain was in the forecast or at least be a bit nervous but Julie wasn’t phased… I had a great time with these two as well as their families and friends, really good people and great to spend a long day with!
